How to use this tool
The calculator uses a zero-thickness, quasi-static Hammerstad–Jensen microstrip model. It is limited here to width/height ratios from 0.1 to 10 and relative permittivity from 1 to 20. Width and height must use the same unit; the form uses millimetres.
Interpret the result
The estimate excludes copper thickness, solder mask, frequency dispersion, roughness, glass weave and etch shape. A field solver with construction-specific material data and a fabricator-approved coupon plan is required for a production impedance target.
